As it`s known language is dynamic and it`s developing constantly. Moreover language is closely connected with the life and needs of society. Each year the number of neologisms is growing. The aim of the report is to study neologism which appeared in 2022-2023 years and were added into Cambridge dictionary.

The tusks are the following: • Give definition to the term neologism • Study classification of neologisms • Find new words that appeared during certain period of time • Compare Russian and English neologisms During our work we have used the following methods as comparing, analyzing, studying related literature and dictionaries. The report is relevant as it is aimed at studying changes at language vocabulary as a result of different processes in humans life during several last years. Hundreds of neologisms appearing in English language every year are related to social and everyday life recorded in newspapers and magazines, Internet publications, social networks, etc. In our opinion, it is in this sphere of human activity that many neologisms reflect the national specificity of the speaking community.

As a result it`s important to say that vocabulary is the most flexible part of a language because they are affected by many extra linguistic events (pandemic period, political conflicts, development of gadgets, protection of our planet etc.) So this topic is relevant and not fully studied especially if we are speaking about past several years. In our work we tried to understand which branches of society is actively developing and bringing new words to the languages. Such brunches in English as well as in Russian are technologies, jobs and words produced by epidemic of COVID- 19. Moreover we should say that English language invented new words which are taken by other languages (even by Russian), because English is international language which has influence on other languages and cultures.
